It ended even before it began.

WHY IS NATHLIE IN A HOSPITAL BED IN KNOX?

No lovely trainee nurses feeding her breakfast, no view of the Himalayan foothills, an IV pump no Elastoplast in sight, on IV site.

Right, got ahead of ourselves didn't we?  Due for surgery to clear a clot on a stent, inserted for a anurysm in the left leg. Started hurting last night on night shift, scans and stuff. And here we are.  And here we will be for a few days. 

No overseas travel for at least two months, India , alas is still a matter of when not if.

So this blog is officially postponed til then.  Sorry to have wound youse all up.   

It begins again.

WHY is Nathalie in a hospital bed in Haldwani?

When we were last in India, we concluded the journey somewhat before our allotted time.   For more information click here .  

 

This will tell of the unfortunate events that resulted in Nathalie spending two weeks in hospital there and had several surgeries, and lots of hard work getting back into fighting condition once back in Australia. 

It also meant we got a business class flight back to Melbourne, with a seat that had 14 separate functions.

A credit to Nathalie’s tenacity, and the hospitality and friendliness of our hosts, nurses and other people we are going back….We have unfinished business.   We went to Delhi, and didn’t see the Taj Maha..we only got to the Himalayan foothills and yet to see a yeti.      So the plan is to arrive in Delhi, stay there a few days, getting to the Taj Mahal, and then a train to a place called Kathgodam, then further north to Nanital.  We are GONE 4th of April, and back almost on the 30th or thereabouts.

After that we are in the hands of fate and we trust fully no-matter-what, we will have a hoot of a time.
